How far is Poon Hill from Ghandruk?
Ghandruk to Poon Hill is around 15.2 km. It is a one-day trekking camp 6-7-hour walk. Ghandruk is a Gurung majority community with their old unique village but in this 21st century, they are destroying their old houses to new build new houses. This construction makes Ghandruk a small city.

Can we see Everest from Poon Hill?
If you go Everest base camp trek then you will see a mirror. Poon hill is a totally different direction. To be honest you will not see Mt. Everest 8848M from Poon Hill but you will Mount Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hinchuli, Gangapurna, Bahrashikha, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, etc.
Do you need a guide for Poon Hill Trek?
You can do this trek. I mean guide is not compulsory for this trek but we suggest hiring a license holder trekking guide and hiring a porter to carry your trekking gear. A guide will manage all transportation, trekking permit for check-in and checkout places, booking accommodation, and which food is good for the mountains as well as full information for your trip. If you go yourself you can do it but you will face much confusion and it makes your trek not fruitful.
How do I get from Ghandruk to Pokhara?
There are two options to go to Pokhara. All the way walk to Nayapul then catch a car to Pokhara or you can catch a public bus or private jeep direct to Pokhara. And if you have time and want to spend more days in the mountains then can walk through Landruk, Pothana, and Sarangkot to Pokhara.
