trip overview

The Lhasa Namtso Lake Tour involves a tour of the ancient city of Lhasa and Namtso Lake. Tibet’s second-largest and holiest lake is Namtso Lake.

If you go from Kathmandu, the Namtso Lake Tour takes 6 days and is one of the shortest tours in China and Tibet. It is 250 kilometers long and takes 5 to 7 hours to drive by jeep from Lhasa to Namtso Lake, which is located at a height of 4,718 meters.

The ideal season to visit this Lake is from May to October; it is regarded as the fourth holy lake in Tibet, China. Together with the 13-day Lhasa Kailash Tour, we also provide a variety of additional excursions.
We also plan tours to Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet that include trekking to the Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, and Manaslu mountains.

Snowstorms are frequent across the Nyenchen Tanglha range and the weather in Namtso is prone to unexpected, abrupt changes. One of the most stunning locations in the Nyenchen Tanglha mountain range is Namtso. Tibetan pilgrims have traveled there for generations to find solace in its cave hermitages. Nyenchen Tanglha

One of Tibet’s most important sacred lakes is Namtso Lake. It is around 240 kilometers north of Lhasa and provides breathtaking views of Mt. Nyingchen Thangla (7,210m) You may visit Tibetan nomads’ tents, ride a horse or yak around the lake, and take in the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding grasslands and mountain ranges.

See the significant Tibetan monuments while touring the historical city of Lhasa. The top places to see in Lhasa include the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Drepung Monastery, and Sera Monastery. The international airport has a connection with Lhasa.

Only Nepal and flights from anywhere in China are viable options. Moreover, it has a rail connection to the major Chinese cities. The glistening lake reflects a dazzling light that causes the environment to buzz with lively, animated waking as it is bathed in long, leisurely beams of the early sun. Namtso Lake is divine, and that is what its name in Tibet implies.
