Pisang Peak Climbing is one of the best peaks in the Himalayas for beginners. It is located between the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. So, this peak is iconic in Manang. So, locally the peak is also called Jong Ri.
Rising behind the village of Pisang, because this pyramidal peak is a good warm-up before climbing other higher peaks. This trek combines the warm hospitality and culture of the Manang region. So, taking a step further in the Annapurna region, the climb to the Pisang Peak (6091 m) is a feat to remember.
Pisang Peak climbing commences in the lively village of Bhulbhule. Walking beside the Marsyangdi River and passing multiple streams. Because we will enter the heart of Manang. The view of Annapurna, Tilicho Peak, and Gangapurna welcomes climbers to Pisang. The fresh breeze and mesmerizing sunrise boost your energy to reach the High Camp. Nearing the summit, the final push is demanding and it blesses the climbers with the best views.

Arrival in Nepal (Tribhuvan International Airport) 1350m.
You will arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), in Kathmandu for your Pisang Peak climbing today. Our representative from Himalaya Guide Nepal will meet you after your customs clearance. He will drive you to your hotel in Thamel. After some notes and suggestions during the drive, you will reach there. Rest for the day and explore the surrounding market. Over night at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Trip preparation and rest day.
We have the day today for gear and equipment preparation day for Pisang Peak Climbing. Visit our office in Thamel after breakfast. First and foremost, we will collect the permits and TIMS card for the trek. After acquiring these, you can go for gear and equipment shopping around Thamel. Your guide for the Pisang Peak Climbing will help you with the preparation. After the completion of them all, you can rest for the day at your hotel in Thamel. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Drive from Kathmandu to Bulbule 840Mtrs.
We will start the trek with a drive to Bulbule from Kathmandu. Your guide will pick you from the hotel to the local bus station in a cab. We will catch a bus to Besisahar from here. Leaving Kathmandu Valley we will head to Muglin and follow the Prithivi Highway to Dumre. We will also have lunch and snack breaks throughout the drive. Besisahar is the starting point for many different trekking routes in the Annapurna region. Bulbule is 30 minutes further drive from Besisahar in the banks of Marsyangdi River. We will rest for the day after reaching Bulbule. Overnight at a lodge in Bulbule.

Bulbule - Bahundanda to Gyarmu Phant 1170m
We have a relaxed trek today to GyarmuPhant from Bulbule. Your trail is beside the Marsyangdi River. After an hour of the trek, we will walk past the Marsyangdi hydropower dam. We will pass by Lampat and stop in Bahundanda for lunch today. Resting for a while here, we will continue the trek to Gyarmu. You will reach GyarmuPhat or Ghermu in the afternoon. Overnight at a lodge/guesthouse in GyarmuPhant.

Ghyarmu Phant - Chamje to Tal 1700Mtrs.
From GyarmuPhant we will quickly get pass Syange in the morning. Following the trail beside Marsyangdi, we will reach Jagat for lunch. The landscape is picturesque in this section of the trek. Jagat is also a major village in this region. Similarly, one can take a peek into the local lifestyle here. Furthermore, we will continue the trek to Chamje. We will also take a short break in the Chamje village. From Chamje we will walk further to the beautiful village of Tal. Overnight at a lodge in Tal village.

Tal - Dharapani - Danaque to Timang 2400m
Spend some time exploring Tal village before starting the trekking portion of today. In the bank of the MarsyangdiRiver, this settlement is lively. There a beautiful waterfall nearby where you can sit and relax. After breakfast, we will first trek to the Dharapani village. From here, we have a trail passing by jungle and small settlements to reach Danque. Danque marks a gradual rise in the path leading to Timang. After a couple of hours more of an uphill walk, you will reach Timang village. Overnight at a lodge/teahouse in Timang village.

Timang to Chame, Manang Head Quarter 2670m
The segment from Timang to Chame is one of the most relaxed segments of the trail. First, we will walk to the Thanchock village which takes about 1.5 hours. Another one hour of walk further will take you to Koto. Koto marks the splitting of the trail for the iconic Nar Phu Village. This village also marks the confluence of Nar and Marshyangdi rivers. We will walk about 30 minutes from Koto to reach Chame. After lunch here you can rest for the day. Chame is the headquarters of the Manang district. You can take a short tour of Chame. The tour is also an opportunity to know the local culture better. Overnight at a lodge in Chame.

Chame - DukarPokhari to Pisang 3245m
From Chame, we will start the trek early and catch the trail after crossing the bridge over Marsyangdi. After a while, you will get past the small village called Talekhu. The trail next passes through multiple sparse pine and spruce forests. A small apple orchard maks the Bharthang village. We will also have a lunch break here. A brief climb from Bharthang will take you to DhikurPokhari. The landscape starts to changes to a bit barren once we are near Lower Pisang. Overnight at a teahouse in Lower Pisang.

Pisang to Pisang peak base camp 4380mtrs
From Pisang, we will have a scenic trail to walk in today to Pisang Peak Base Camp. First, we will walk up to the upper Pisang. This portion treats you with fantastic views of snow-capped peaks all around. From a small monastery here, you can also have a full extent view of the Pisang villages. After a brief stop, we will start the steep climb to Pisang Base Camp. Following a rocky trail beside small yak pastures, we will reach the base camp in the afternoon. After setting up the camp, we will rest for the day here. Overnight at a camp in base camp.

Pisang peak base camp rest day.
Today is a well-needed rest and acclimatization day in the Pisang Peak base camp. at an elevation of about 4400 meters, you will need warm-up routines for better elevation. Similarly, you can take short hikes around the camp for better results. The base camp also provides some exquisite views of the mountains all around. The massive face of Pisang can also be a bit intimidating here. Rest for the day and prepare for the climb. Overnight at a camp.

Pisang peak base camp to high camp 5400mtrs
Another day of steep hiking section leads us to the high camp of Pisang Peak. The trail will be covered in snow for the most part so be careful during the hike. Similarly, the vegetation is very sparse and you can feel some burn nearing the camp. Moving gradually but steadily we will reach the high camp at noon. Upon reaching here, we will take our lunch and rest for the day. Overnight at Pisang High Camp.

High camp to summit Pisang peak 6091M then back to base camp 4380mtrs
Today is the day of the climb and we will start it early. With all the preparations done before we will aim to summit the Pisang Peak. The sunrise view over the Annapurna range will also welcome you during the climb. Following your guide and instructions, you will be ready for the final step to the Summit. Being a bit rocky and steep the route to the top is challenging and thrilling at the same time. The summit welcomes us with prayer flags and a mesmerizing view of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri Massifs. Spending some memorable time here we will start descending to the high camp. The descent is also a nerve-racking adventure. With a brief break in the high camp, we will walk down further to the Pisang Peak Base Camp. Overnight at camp in Pisang base camp.

Extra day.
We have an extra day separated for bad weather which might postpone the summit of Pisang peak. The whole procedure to climb the peak will be done this day in case of those scenarios. Otherwise, you will rest and explore the area in Pisang High Camp. Overnight at a camp.

Base camp to Pisang 3245mtrs
We will descend down from the Base camp back to the Pisang village today. The trek is shorter and you will have plenty of time to rest and explore. As this is the last day of walking, we will enjoy the scenery and landscape during your descend. Similarly, after reaching Pisang you can take a village tour. You can also interact with the locals and know more about the culture and farming techniques. You can try some local rice beers in the evening celebrating the successful completion of the climb. Pisang to Besisahar 540mtrs
From Pisang village, we will catch a Jeep back to Besisahar. The jeep will leave early from the village hence you will start the drive after breakfast. Prepare yourself for an adventure-packed road section ahead to Besisahar. In the hilly off-roads you can feel the bump and thrill as well. The drive also treats you with amazing views of nature and landscape. You’ll reach BesiSahar towards late afternoon. Rest for the day in your lodge here. Overnight at a lodge in Besisahar.

Drive back to Kathmandu by public bus.
For the last part of the journey, you will travel back to Kathmandu from BesiSahar. Few people choose to visit Pokhara which is about 3-4 hours’ drive from here. You can customize the itinerary beforehand if you have some days to spare. Otherwise, from Besisahar it is a hill highway ride back to the capital Kathmandu. We will also take you to your hotel here. Join us for a farewell dinner. Similarly, you can also indulge in Souvenir shopping in Thamel. We will also transfer you to the airport before your departure.
