Langshisha Ri Climbing is one of the most thrilling trekking peaks to climb in the Langtang region of the Himalayas. Standing 6427 meters tall this majestic peak is ideal for trekkers trying to climb for the first time. Climbers heading the Langtang Lirung (7234 m) also do Langshisha Ri Peak for a warm-up climb. The views of Langtang range, Ganesh, and Shishapangma with other snow-capped peaks are visible all around. You can also witness the wonderful scenic landscape of both the Nepalese and the Tibetan sides.

Passing by old monasteries and traditional settlements, discover the lifestyle in the high Himalayas. The scenic views, breathtaking mountains, and the art and culture of locals best define the trip to the base of Langshisha Ri. The journey to the summit of the Langshisha Ri starts from the cultural city of Kathmandu. Similarly, you will head to Syabrubesi to begin the walk toward the peak. From here. We will walk in the beautiful trail of the Langtang region. Because of the natural components and welcoming locals, travelers will also have a proper trekking experience in the mountains.

Your challenging yet beautiful section leads you from Kyanjin Gompa to the summit of Langshisha Ri. Walking in the Langtang national park and sharing the path with locals be a part of the Himalayas. Day00

Arrival in Tribhuvan international airport Kathmandu Nepal 1350mtrs.

You will meet a representative from Himalaya Guide after landing in the Tribhuwan International Airport. A Nepali style welcome with garlands and Dosalla will soon follow. After that, he will escort you to a hotel in Thamel. You can ask some more Dos and Donts during the drive which might be helpful here. Rest for the day after reaching the hotel. In your spare time, you can stroll and take a taste of the local market. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day01

Rest and trip preparation day in Kathmandu.

We have a whole day today to prepare for the gears and climbing equipment for the LangshishaRi Climb. First, you will visit our office with your guide for the orientation session of the climb. We will go through the routes, major places, and points you will be during the journey. After that all you will get some tips from professional peak climbing experts for the climb. Next, your guide will help you with the preparation. He will also take you to gear shop if required to buy additional gears/supplies. With everything taken care of, he will drop you to your hotel. Day02

Kathmandu to Sybrubesi 1503 mtrs

Your guide will pick you up following breakfast at your hotel. From the hotel, you will take a cab to the bus stop to Rasuwa from Kathmandu. In a local vehicle here, prepare for an eventful and scenic drive to SyabruBensi. The view from the window gets better as you leave the Kathmandu Valley. The curves and off-road segments will take you deep into the high hills of Nepal. You will stop in a couple of places for lunch and snacks. Enjoy the local Nepali music and the hit of fresh air from your window. You’ll cross multiple hills and valleys, and drive beside the rivers straight from the mountains. Rest for the day on reaching SyabruBesi in the afternoon. Overnight at a lodge in SyabruBesi.

Day03

Sybrubesi to Lama hotel 2500mtrs/

Wake up with a fantastic view of hills and the whistle of Trishuli River below your lodge in SyabruBesi. Crossing a suspension bridge over Trishuli, follow the trail to Lama Hotel today. You will soon pass by the Old Syabru village here. We will continue in a trail going through the tropical forest beside the Langtang Khola. We can see the trail heading to Gosainkunda Lake after passing Doman. We will reach Bamboo midway to the walk. Bamboo is also our lunch stop for the day. From here we will cross a couple of beautiful waterfalls and climb to Reche. About an hour or so of gentle uphill from here will take us to Lama Hotel. Overnight at a lodge in Lama Hotel.

Day04

Lama Hotel to Langtang 3430mtrs

From Lama Hotel, we will have a gradually rising trail to the Langtang village. We will pass by the village of Gumanchowk and Ghodatabela. After having our lunch in one of the lodges at Ghodatabela, we will start the uphill portion to Thangshyap. Langtang Village is only about a kilometer or 20 minutes’ walk from Thangshyap. Langtang Village was one of the major villages of the areas devasted by the mega earthquake of 2015 AD. The reconstructed village is just beside the massive mush of stone and mud there. You can witness the reconstruction and new hope that locals here are experiencing through tourism. Overnight at a lodge in Langtang village.

Langtang to KyanjinGumpa 3830mtrs

Day06

Exploration day

Today is a rest and acclimatization day at KyanjinGompa situated at an elevation of 3830 meters. The settlement is comparatively large and you can find many lodges hee. The Apple pie found in some of them is highly recommended by our guides and past visitors. Taste some of the organic cheese from a Yak cheese factory in the village. Here, visit the famous KyanjinGompa, which is one of the most significant Gompas of the whole region. From the premises of this traditional and religious monument take a view of sublime sunset over the mountains. Overnight at a lodge in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day07

KyanjingGompa to LangshishaKharka 4185 mtrs

The trail to LangshishaKharka is one of the popular day hiking destinations for trekkers doing Langtang Valley trek. We will continue the walk today to LangshishaKharka. The climb is not so hard. You can have a magnificent view of the Langtang valley and surrounding landscape. Passing by small streams and wide pastures we will reach LangshishaKharka in the evening. We will set up the camp and you can walk further in the nearby ridges here. Overnight at a camp in LangshishaKharka.

Day08

Trekking to Langshisha Kharka Base Camp

From Langshisha base camp, it is a moderate uphill walk to the base camp of LangshishaRi. We will start the day with breakfast at our camp in Langshisha Kharka. Starting the hike the trail is significantly different from the likes of sparse alpine vegetation and more rocky terrain. The views are breathtaking with LangtangLiruang looking closer with each step. We will rest for the day after reaching the base camp. Overnight at a tented camp in Langshisha Base Camp.

Day09

Langshisha high camp

We will trek further up to the high Camp from the base camp of LangshishaRi. We will start early and after a hot beverage and breakfast start the trek. There might be some hard segments in which follow the guide. Advance carefully in the sections covered by slippery ice or snow. We will reach the high camp of LangshishaRi in the afternoon. The High Camp is set up in such an elevation that climbers can climb the summit and be back in a single day. After setting up the camp, we will have our dinner and rest for the day. Day10

​ Extra day in high camp

We will stay a day more in the High camp for better acclimatizing. You can spend the day preparing for the summit climb the next day. Explore around with your guide and take in the mesmerizing views of the snow-capped peaks and unreal landscape. Rest and sleep early today after finishing the preparation. Overnight at a tented camp in High Camp.

Day11

Climb Langshisha Ri Peak then back to Base camp

The climb to the summit starts early before sunrise from the high camp. After some warm-up, we will head towards the summit. Follow your expert guide and enjoy the view of sunrise falling in the Himalayas. The final push to the summit can be challenging, climb steadily yo the top. Once in the summit, the feeling is surreal. From the summit, climbers can have a fantastic view of LangtangLirung, and other peaks over 6000 meters like Morimoto, Ganchenpo, and Urkinmang all the way to the Shishapangma in Tibet. Spending a brief time here we will start descending to the high camp. Once here we will drop back to the Base camp and rest for the day. Overnight at a camp in base Camp.

Day12

Base camp to Kyanjin Gompa.

Day13

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel.

From KyanjinGompa today we will descend further towards the Lama Hotel. Distance-wise, this will be the longest day of the trip to climb LangshishaRi Peak. We will pass by numerous picturesque waterfalls in the way. Stopping for lunch in one of the midway villages, we can talk and know more about the local culture. We will cross dense forest and walk flat for about 20 minutes to reach the Lama Hotel. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day14

Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi.

Today is the last walking day of the LangshishaRi Peak Climb and we have a pretty balanced walk back to Syabru. Passing by many suspension bridges and forests we will stop in Bamboo for lunch. From here it’s a couple of hours more of a downhill walk until we reach the village of Syabrubesi. Overnight at a lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day15

Sybrubesi to Kathmandu by drive.

From SyabruBensi we will catch a local bus back to Kathmandu Valley. You will stop in the midway settlements for lunch and snacks. Passing by many villages, terraced farmlands, waterfalls, and rivers, you will reach Kathmandu in the afternoon. We will drop you at your hotel. Head out for a souvenir shopping session in the vast handicraft and souvenir markets of Thamel. We will drive you to the airport before the departure flight as well.
