Asia’s model tourism village is Ghalegaun, according to another name. It is located in Nepal’s remote Kwholasothar Municipality. The hamlet is located in Nepal, around 12.5 km northeast of Pokhara and 108 km northwest of Kathmandu. The Annapurna Circuit encircles the lovely tourist town. Between the two most well-known treks, the Annapurna Circuit and the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the Ghale Gaun Home Stay Trek.

It has a height of 2,100 meters above sea level and is a well-known picturesque tourist attraction in Lamjung District. More About Ghalegaun

Ghalegaun is home to famous Gorkha warriors. They extend garlands and Red Tika as a kind of greeting to their guests. Model villages for witnessing the characteristic culture and way of life of the Gurung people are Ghanpokhara. For births, funerals, weddings, and other significant life events, traditional practices are still observed. With cozy mattresses and spotless restrooms, they are offering excellent hospitality.

Day00

Arrival in Kathmandu Nepal 1,350 M/30 Min.

Welcome to Tribhuvan International Airport Nepal Pick you up from the airport then drop you at your hotel where you had booked. After checking your hotel, we brief you about our program details arriving time to departure time to home.

Day01

Drive by Bus to Besisahar- Khudi 790M/6-7hours.

Taking a local Bus to Besisahar-Bulbule depends on which time you prefer. Kathmandu to Besisahar along the high way following the Himalaya rafting river Trisuli cross the Trisuli River in Muglin and follow the Marshyangdi River passing several Gurung, Magar, and other caste villages to reach the District Head Quarter of Lamjung called Besisahar.

After Besisahar there are two options by foot or drive, if you walk one hour to Khudi from Besisahar or direct bus to Khudi too, overnight at the lodge.

Day02

Trek Khudi to Ghalegaun 1,540M/4-5 hours.

Today is the first day to walk on our trip, after breakfast our trek begins toward the northwest of Khudi along the bank of the river. It is beautiful walking through the fertile fields, villages, forests, and many waterfalls along the way.

After a short climb up, you will reach Ghale Gaun village which is the nice settlement of Gurung which is the major ethnic group of Nepal. This evening spend your time walking around the village and overnight at homestay.

Day03

Ghalegaun village exploration day 1,540M.

This is a rest day as well as exploring the day around this village. Wake up early in the morning for a beautiful sunrise with mountains and breakfast in the homely environment of the Gurung family.

After finishing Breakfast walks around the village to explore their traditional lifestyle, culture, religion as well as their living standard. After dinner, villagers group like the mother group, and the local club shows a cultural program of their own in the village where locals perform their traditional songs with handmade dress gathering all villagers overnight home.

Day04

Ghalegaun to Baglungpani 1,600M/4-5hours.

After breakfast, our trek leads to Gurung settlement Ghan Pokhara crossing through the fertile land, and some traditional villages along the Nepali zig-zag way then will reach Ghan Pokhara after an hour then we will continue walking to Baglung Pani 1,600mtrs we reach Baglung Pani after walking 4-5hours then overnight at the homestay in the homely environment.

Day05

Baglungpani to Laxmi Bazar 1,345M/5-6hours.

We leave the beautiful village Baglung Pani then our day starts to trek the typical mixed village of Laxmi Bazaar 1,345mtrs from sea level which is the nice small bazaar in this area, after walking 5-6hour we will be in Laxmi Bazar for our night in the homely environment.

Day06

Laxmi Bazaar and trek to Begnas Lake-Pokhara 830M/3 hours walk and 1 hour.

This is the last day of this trek so after walking around for three hours, we will be at nice and beautiful Begnas Lake where we can take a boat in that lake for enjoy then have lunch in Begnas Lake then take a taxi or local bus to Pokhara Lakeside after an hour and rest of time sightseeing in Pokhara then overnight at lodge.

Day07

Drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu 1,350M/6-7 hours.

Back to Kathmandu after your adventure trip by tourist bus 6-7 hours and by Flight 30 minutes stay own your booked hotel. We provide farewell dinner in Kathmandu.
