Welcome to Nepal! Our representative will be waiting for you at Tribhuvan International Airport and will greet you. He will escort you to a 4-star hotel on a 30-minute drive. Today is dedicated to trek preparations. After breakfast, meet your trekking guide for a briefing on the upcoming trek, including safety, logistics, and the necessary permits required for the trek. This is also the perfect time to finalize any essential documents. Then, you can make a short visit to Swayambhunath (also known as the Monkey Temple) or the Pashupatinath Temple. Take the evening to relax or shop for last-minute essentials before you leave Kathmandu.

You can start with either a straight flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (approximately 30-35 minutes) or a 5-hour drive to Ramechhap in a car first. Then, you will take a 20-minute flight from Ramechhap to Lukla. The latter option is often best during peak seasons, as flights from Kathmandu can be very busy. After arriving in Lukla, the gateway to the Everest Region, the actual trek begins. In 3-4 hours, you reach Phakding (2,652 m) after hiking through different types of landscapes, traditional villages, and serene rivers. Rest here tonight.

Today’s trek from Deboche to Dingboche is a steady 5–6 hour climb through alpine terrain. You gradually gain altitude on the trail that follows the Imja Khola. After crossing a suspension bridge, you’ll pass through Pangboche, the highest permanent Sherpa settlement in the region, known for its ancient monastery and incredible views of Ama Dablam. The landscape begins to shift here; you will only see shrubs and windswept meadows.

The trail continues through the small hamlets of Shomare and Orsho, with stone walls and yak pastures lining the way. After enjoying the scenery, you return to Gorak Shep and rest for a while.

Then, you continue your descent to Pheriche. As you go down, the terrain becomes less rugged and more forested. After 5 hours of walking, you reach Pheriche, a small village nestled in the Khumbu Valley. It is a tranquil spot which also marks a transition, as you leave the high-altitude peaks behind and begin to make your way back toward the lower regions.

Day 16 :

Fly back to your sweet home

After breakfast, you can have a final stroll on nearby streets. If you couldn’t have the farewell dinner yesterday, you can have it today.
